A trooper stops a man who is seemingly on the run away from something that recently took place. He stops by the side of the road. He is later awoken by a State Trooper asking about his intentions. Most interesting is Mann seems to have something in his backseat that he is afraid of being uncovered. The short story soon became a short film of this very traffic stop. Yet for the year after the completion of the film it became common topic of discussion;

By summer 2012 Jase Egan and Adam Engel had built an entire story around this figure. It became a full length character study focusing on 4 separate people and their behavior as The Wounded Bird enters their town.
